In it’s second consecutive year Yaasssferatu blended seductive vampire aesthetics with high-energy nightlife performance and queer energy, Somehow even more unhinged than the previous year. I cast every performer and created the event’s central creative vision.
My Role
Creative Director
Lead Producer
Performer
Talent Director & Curator
Creative Concept
A queer, campy descent into the abyss of vampiric desire. My vision for Yaasssferatu fused turn-of-the-century gothic horror with underground ballroom, drag, and burlesque. A modern reanimation of the Nosferatu mythos—recast through queer performance, kink culture, and theatrical spectacle.
Scope of Work
Pitched and revived a canceled event, expanding its scope and elevating its creative potential
Developed creative direction and event theme to coincide with the re-release of Nosferatu
Cast all performers, curated run-of-show, and collaborated with artists on custom acts
Performed a featured number, integrating live theatrical elements and character work
Oversaw budget, timeline, rehearsals, and on-site production management
Ran House of Yes’ marketing team on campaign rollout, voice, and visual storytelling
Designed space layout and installation elements to reinforce the immersive environment including a blood rain machine
Impact & Results
Successful event during one of the hardest nightlife weeks of the year
Received rave attendee reviews and major social media buzz
Reinforced my reputation as a visionary creative director and risk-taker willing to go all in on an unconventional idea—and make it wildly successful
