An immersive psychedelic cabaret that journeys through grief, love, absurdity, and the afterlife. Blending drag, burlesque, and immersive theater, Snack Theater: The Fool invites audiences into a lucid dreamworld unlike anything else in NYC nightlife.

Creative Concept

Conceived by Rara Darling and Angelica Sundae, Snack Theater is a genre-bending, vaudevillian acid trip through the subconscious. The March 2025 edition, The Fool, centers on the psychedelic process of mourning a soulmate—Angelica’s beloved dog—and transforming that grief through surreal performance art, stunning visuals, and dark comedy.

I collaborated with the creators to shape the overall show arc, guide performers through rehearsal direction, and elevate production value at every level—from pacing and audience flow to visual identity and digital storytelling.

Scope of Work

• Managed pre-production logistics and on-site execution

• Directed all-cast rehearsals and refined act transitions

• Provided creative consultation on structure, themes, and emotional tone

• Shot and directed the official teaser trailer (concept, filming, and editing direction)

• Advised on scenic, lighting, and sound design integrations

• Coordinated technical run-throughs and live cue execution

• Sold out both nights

• Featured in House of Yes’s spring 2025 theatrical program

• Received glowing post-show feedback

• Secured a second run in 2026
