Night Cult
May 11, 2024 | House of Yes, NYC
Short Description
A ritual rave exploring the divine darkness in all of us, Night Cult returned with a vengeance in May 2024—unleashing a sensory overload of immersive performance, music, and spectacle. Presented at House of Yes, this installment fused underground nightlife with high-concept stagecraft and avant-garde performance art.
My Role
Creative Director & Curator
Programmed all performances and immersive elements
Led creative vision, aesthetic direction, and custom prop fabrication
Oversaw all production and timeline logistics
Creative Concept
Built around themes of divine transformation and dark ecstasy, Night Cult challenged audiences to embrace their inner chaos through ritual, movement, and performance. I tapped Godspawn, an all-trans dance company directed by God Complex, to headline the night. One set featured a simulated boxing match - I designed and fully rhinestoned custom boxing round cards to add drama and beauty to the performance’s pacing.

Curated all performance talent
Designed and fabricated original props and visual assets
Managed performance scheduling and transitions
Directed creative look and feel for entire night including lighting, soundscape, and front-of-house

Impact & Results

Praised by performers and attendees for its originality, cohesion, and atmosphere
Strengthened ongoing collaboration with God Complex and other key nightlife artists
